Florida LAKEWATCH Water Chemistry Summary

Location: Latitude 30°24'9", Longitude 84°20'29"

Period of record: 110 sampling dates; September 9, 1988 to November 15, 1999

Surface area (LAKEWATCH): 195 acres / 79 hectacres (Bathymetric Map)

Lake Region (Griffith et al. 1997): Gulf Coast Lowlands

Geologic formation (Brooks 1981):

The geology is a mixture of two major types dominated by deeply weathered beach and dune sand with some clay lenses of the preglacial Pleistocene and phosphatic sand, silty sand, and clay of the Hawthorne Formation.

Physiographic region (Brooks 1981):

The water body lies in the Tallahassee Red Hills subdivision of the State Line Hills division of the Ocala Uplift District.
