Please RSVP by Tuesday, January 24th, 2012. Call LAKEWATCH at 1-800-525-3928 (1-800-LAKEWATch) and leave a message including your name, water body name (if you're a volunteer), and how many will be attending.

Details:

Florida LAKEWATCH will provide Sonny’s BBQ chicken, turkey, pork, beef, baked beans, cole slaw, garlic bread, soft drinks and water. Desserts or side dishes to share are also welcome. The following attractions will also be provided.

  •   Primary Florida LAKEWATCH volunteers can pick-up their data packets.

  •   A hands on exhibit of aquatic plants and invertebrates will be set up. If you have an aquatic plant, algae sample or "bug" that you're curious about, bring it along for identification and discussion..
  •   Discuss your water body concerns, ask questions about management issues, talk with other LAKEWATCH folks, and find out what's happening in general.

  • This year we will be refurbishing sampling equipment if needed. Be sure to check your sampling kit for any defective equipment and bring it with you. We will be glad to replace any worn or broken equipment
