Fishing for Success (FFS) has been a highly successful youth education outreach program. Learn more: Fishing For Success was awarded the prestigious Department
of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary's Honor Award in 2003, for "Enhancing
the Capacity of All Rural Residents, Communities and Businesses
to Prosper." In 2001, Fishing for Success was awarded the Conservation Educator of the Year Award by the Florida Wildlife Federation On January 23, 2006, Dr. Dan Canfield received the Albert "Ray" Massey Citizen Volunteer Award for Fishing for Success from the City of Gainesville for 2005: "For Your Outstanding Efforts to Promote Recreational Activities in Gainesville" Mayor Pegeen Hanrahan proclaimed January 23rd, 2006 as a day to honor Dr. Dan Canfield as a 2005 Albert "Ray" Massey Citizen Volunteer Learn more about lakes, lake management and aquatic ecology: |
