Marilyn Bachmann is a Research Professor (Ctsy.) In the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at UF. She came to UF in 1993 from Iowa State University where she was Professor of Animal Ecology. She and her students did research and published in the areas of animal behavior and aquatic ecology. Summers at a Michigan lake provided field experience and the joys and problems associated with lake living. Here in Florida she works with Dr. Canfield's limnology group and Florida LAKEWATCH. She is the author (with Canfield and Hoyer) of the book "Living at the Lake, a Handbook for Florida Lakefront Property Owners". Currently she is primarily involved with computer graphics and develops and maintains the websites for the department, Florida LAKEWATCH and the Harris Chain of Lakes Advisory Council.
