Meet The Florida LAKEWATCH Team

Research: Jason "Mo" Bennett

Mo is originally from Kansas City, MO (hence the nickname). He graduated from the University of Missouri ­ Kansas City in 2003 with a B.S. in Biology. He came to the University of Florida in late 2003 to work as a technician in the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. He recently earned his M.S. from UF after working on a project to estimate the mortality of common snook in Sarasota, FL. Mo started with Florida Lakewatch in September of 2006 and is currently working on a state and federally funded project monitoring plant and fish communities of several Florida lakes.
