June 17th Fishing Derby
City of Leesburg Berry Park

On June 17th, 2006, Fishing for Success packed up and headed down to Leesburg to put on a kids' derby at Berry Park. We stocked the pond the month prior with catfish and bream so the catching would be good. Over 90 kids showed up for a day of fishing fun and a raffle. Thanks to the Florida Foundation for Responsible Angling, Inc., all participants got to keep their fishing pole. Thanks to the City of Leesburg and the Lake County Water Authority for making this event happen.

Lessons last a lifetime!

Lots of bluegill caught!
